Blessing Nkennor, Director of Multimedia
Blessing's commitment to healthy public policy and health advocacy began at an early age. While in high school, she developed a keen interest in health advocacy and the role of public health in individual and community well-being. This interest led her to the Investment in Youth Engagement Initiative as an Outreach Coordinator and the Youth Health Action Network as a Researcher and Healthy Public Policy Advocate, where she has participated in numerous tobacco denormalization and mental health research and advocacy efforts across the City of Toronto.
Blessing is currently at the University of Toronto double majoring in Molecular Biology, Immunology and Health Studies, with a minor in International Development Studies. As the Director of Multimedia and Public Relations, she is excited about creating and implementing the strategy for all social media, public relations, and communications materials for the Institute for Youth Health and Development.
Blessing is a passionate creative professional and filmmaker. For nearly four years, she has created short films, motion graphic videos, digital and print posters and websites for non-profit and church organizations. She is especially interested in the intersections of art and health advocacy.
